Exporting from across Britain: financial and related professional services 2019

The new findings show that while London remains the UK’s main hub for international finance, industry export growth in several of the country’s regions and nations has been faster than in the capital over the past five years.

According to our estimates, almost half of the industry’s £96.9bn exports from across Britain came from outside of London in 2017. For example, industry exports from the South East accounted for 11% of total British industry exports, and those from Scotland accounted for 7%.
