Our latest report, "Enhancing the UK's approach to innovation in financial services', in collaboration with PA Consulting, shows that the UK has set the global standard for an effective and supportive approach to FinTech regulation. However, as the sector matures, change is needed to help more firms succeed both in the UK and globally.
Interviews conducted with FinTech leaders in the UK, US and Europe found that firms welcomed the UK’s progressive approach to regulating FinTech. They also said that regulation remains a barrier to innovation and is difficult to understand. The financial services sector is calling for the UK’s regulatory approach to FinTech to be consolidated and made more user friendly to ensure the UK maintains its position as a global leader in the FinTech market.
