Set out a series of policy recommendations to reinforce the industry’s role in the wider economy around key areas such as data, infrastructure, skills, green growth, exports and devolution drawn from the findings in our ‘Enabling growth across the UK 2021’ report.
Focused on the levelling-up agenda by using the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill to engage with stakeholders and highlight the role our industry can play. Our outreach has included briefing around 100 MPs on what else the Bill could have included to maximise the contribution our industry can make to levelling up, ahead of its second reading.
Engaged members across the country in policy discussions through initiatives such as our events series in collaboration with the independent HMT, BEIS and City of London Corporation Socio-Economic Taskforce. Through our network of Regional and National Chairs, who have continued to act as conveners for members and other local stakeholders, we have progressed our advocacy work on key national issues impacting the industry across the regions and nations.
