Policymaker roundtable

03 December 2024
14:00 - 15:00 GMT

Join us at this policymaker roundtable with Callum Anderson MP on Tuesday 3 December 2024.

Callum Anderson MP serves as a Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). On behalf of the Department, he is investigating how government can support the growth of technology and business clusters outside of the “golden triangle”.

Given DSIT’s new role as the digital centre of the government, Callum is exploring how the Department can play a greater role in supporting innovative homegrown UK companies in their journey from spin-out, to scaling up and staying in the UK. He is keen to engage with industry on this work and this event would be a fantastic opportunity to discuss the role capital markets emerging technologies can play in delivering the government’s vision.

Callum Anderson is the Labour MP for Buckingham and Bletchley, having first been elected in July. He has been identified as a rising star in the Party and swiftly joined the front bench following his election. Before becoming an MP, Callum worked in our industry, first at the City of London Corporation and most recently at the London Stock Exchange Group.

TheCityUK’s roundtable series brings policymakers together with senior representatives from our membership in a private setting under the Chatham House Rule. To register please contact Elizabeth Street, making mention of any dietary requirements.
