Alan Mak is the MP for Havant, having first been elected at the 2015 General Election. In government he served as Minister of State across the Department for Business and Trade and the Cabinet Office. Following the election, he served as Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury, before being appointed to his current role. Before entering parliament Alan practised as a solicitor. In 2010, he was recognised with the award for Young City Lawyer of the year in Square Mile magazine's 30 under 30 awards.
