On Tuesday 5 March we held our inaugural Future Skills Conference in partnership with Financial Services Skills Commission and sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group, Yorkshire Building Society, Capital One and Phoenix Group.
The event was a great success with a packed room of attendees hearing insightful keynotes from Emily Shepperd, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, Authorisations, Financial Conduct Authority and Professor Baroness Alison Wolf CBE, along with lively panel discussions.
The event brought together senior practitioners from across financial and related professional services, regulators and policymakers to discuss how to ensure the industry has the skills it needs for the future and continue to drive growth and prosperity across the country.
Through the keynote speeches and panel sessions, the conference covered topics such investing in workplace skills to fill skills gaps and boost productivity, the critical role of skills and talent in driving innovation and growth, and how the UK can remain an attractive hub for domestic and global talent.
